The Story Behind Asma Wellness

For many years, I lived and worked in Tokyo at Narine Japan Inc., where I met Asma.

At that time, Asma's mother was very ill, and I began spending time with Asma and helping to care for her. Little by little, she became much more than a child I was looking after. She became a very special part of my life.

We shared everyday moments, conversations, and a special bond that has stayed in my heart.

One question from that little girl stayed with me:

“Why don't you create something that can help mothers have more healthy years with their children?”

I didn't know then that her simple question would one day inspire Asma Wellness.

 

From Armenia to Japan

 

Armenia is at the heart of my story. It is my country, my heritage, and Narine's home.

During my master's studies at Utsunomiya University, I received a Rotary Yoneyama Memorial Foundation scholarship. As part of our activities, I regularly introduced Armenia, its culture, traditions, and heritage to Japanese people.

One day, I was asked:

“What are three things you can be proud of about Armenia?”

I had not prepared an answer, so I spontaneously said:

“Our water, our sun, and Narine.”

They immediately asked, “What is Narine?”

That simple question became the beginning of an unexpected journey.

I contacted the manufacturer in Armenia and learned that its founder was in Tokyo at the time. I had the opportunity to meet him, learn more about Narine, and begin exploring how it could be introduced in Japan.

Narine eventually became more than a wellness product for me. It became a bridge between Armenia and Japan, and a way to share part of my country's scientific heritage with people in Japan.
