From Armenia to Japan, Building Connections Through Knowledge and Collaboration

Our relationship with Narine Japan Inc. has grown through years of professional collaboration, mutual trust, and shared experience.
Through this connection, we have had the opportunity to introduce Narine to Japanese professionals and businesses while learning from Japan’s rich experience in food, wellness, and product development. These exchanges have provided valuable insights and opened new opportunities for international collaboration.
For us, the connection with Japan is more than a business relationship. It represents a continuing exchange of knowledge, experience, and ideas between people and organizations with a shared interest in wellness and innovation.
Today, we bring these experiences together in a broader international vision—connecting Armenian scientific heritage, Japanese knowledge and experience, and global opportunities.

Our connection with Narine Japan Inc. has grown through years of professional collaboration, mutual trust, and shared experience.
Through this partnership, Narine has been introduced to Japanese professionals, businesses, and industry communities. Our participation in exhibitions and professional events has created opportunities to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and better understand the Japanese wellness and product-development landscape.
These experiences have become an important part of our international journey. They have helped us build meaningful relationships and explore new possibilities for collaboration and product development.
A Scientific Exchange
Meeting with Professor Miyazawa
During our visit to the Faculty of Medicine at Kindai University, we met Professor Masaaki Miyazawa and learned more about his work in immunology, virology, and vaccine research.
Our conversation gave us an opportunity to exchange perspectives on scientific research, immune responses, mucosal immunity, and approaches to vaccine development.
Professor Miyazawa has devoted many years to research in immunology and virology, including studies of host immune responses to viral infection. His work has also contributed to the scientific understanding underlying vaccine research.
For us, this meeting was a meaningful part of our connection with Japan—an opportunity to learn directly from an experienced researcher and to deepen our appreciation for the importance of scientific collaboration.
Selected Research Collaboration
Professor Miyazawa has also collaborated with researchers including Dr. Haruo Matsumura and Dr. Kichiya Kogawa in research related to Narine and immune responses.

FROM NARINE TO NEW POSSIBILITIES
Japanese Food Technology & New Possibilities

While we were working at Narine Japan Inc., we had the opportunity to join a collaborative project with Takahashi Koken Co., Ltd.
The project explored combining Narine with Japanese rice-bran technology, focusing on developing new product possibilities using rice-bran ingredients.
Through this experience, we worked closely with the Japanese team and Dr. Satoshi Takahashi, gaining valuable insight into Japan’s approach to food technology, enzyme research, product development, and international business collaboration.
This experience became an important part of our international journey, bringing together Armenian scientific heritage, Japanese knowledge and technology, and new possibilities for future collaboration.
SCIENTIFIC & PROFESSIONAL CONNECTIONS
Scientific & Professional Network in Japan

Our journey in Japan has been shaped by relationships with researchers, medical professionals, business partners, and organizations who have shared their knowledge and experience with us.
One meaningful example was a September 2018 feature in New Life magazine that brought together Dr. Ko Okumura, an immunology researcher at Juntendo University, and Masakazu Watanuki, President of Narine Japan Inc.
The conversation explored Narine, research related to beneficial lactic acid bacteria, and the development and introduction of Narine products in Japan.
For us, this connection represents more than a single interview. It reflects the importance of communication, knowledge exchange, and professional relationships in building an international network.
Through these connections, we have continued to learn from Japanese researchers, universities, and business professionals while sharing Narine's story and heritage.
Narine in the Japanese Media

Media coverage, interviews, and public interest in Narine’s Armenian scientific heritage have also become part of its journey in Japan.
Through Japanese magazines, newspapers, television programs, and industry publications, Narine’s story has reached Japanese readers and consumers, introducing them to a distinctive Armenian probiotic strain with a history spanning more than 70 years.
These appearances have helped connect Armenian scientific heritage with Japanese interest in nutrition, wellness, and product development, creating opportunities to share Narine’s history, research background, and international journey.
From scientific publications to popular media, each appearance has become part of Narine’s continuing story in Japan.
